Job Description:
Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities of the Shipping Supervisor:
Responsible for assuring shipping schedules are met by organizing and coordinating
trailer loads. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's
policies and applicable laws. Will train employees; plan, assign and direct work;
appraise performance;reward/discipline employees; address complaints and resolve
problems.
Education or Training Required:
Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university: or minimum three years related experience
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Authorized Training Required:
Forklift / Pallet Jack
Lockout / Tagout
Fall Protection
Manlifts
Bloodborne Pathogens / First Aid-CPR
Experience Required:
Minimum three shipping, material handling and/or freezer experience in a pork facility preferred.
Skills Required:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedures manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before immediate supervisor or employees of organization.
Bottom Line Requirements:
1. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

years of experience in
shipping or material handling including some supervisory experience.
3. Experience in a pork facility preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
